The Oldest Being on Earth, and Man

Permandjika Allah tapped a speck of dust from behind the ear... like that the first solid matter in the universe was formed. It became larger and greater, and when it measured eight fathoms square, God set himself upon it up down.

Now when God looked down, the earth came into being, and when He looked up, Up there stretched the great heaven. And when looking at to the left and to the right the sea was created, by the blowing of the wind.

Next to God were the archangels Israpel, Michael, and Jabrail, and the fifth was Alahtaälah, Our Lord.

Then God said, “Let us create Adam!”

And clay was brought from Modjopahit, and Our Lord and the archangels kneaded it, to form Adam.

But God saw that the creature had four legs, and he said, “This is Adam not yet,” and the divine breath breathed the creature to the earth and there it was The Eldest, Setoewò, the Tiger.

Now new clay was brought from Modjopahit, but the angels formed it creatures of nine, eight, and seven fathoms in length, and they were made into divine beings: the Deva Parali, nine in number, and the eight Dewatas and the seven Devas, but Adam had not yet succeeded.

Then Our Lord made a creature with four legs and a long tail. But God, who knew what Adam should be like, called this creature Alilias and dropped it into the sea, the Crocodile.

Once again God attempted to create Adam, but the new creature was big and had four heavy legs... God let him down to earth: Aliliman, the Elephant.

Then God let the archangel Djabraïl reflect himself in the silent water of a deep river bend, and in the image that the water and Adam was formed, and God called his name: Ali Muhammad.

Now God gave a human soul to Our Lord, let him live well in it holding the closed hand to bring it to Adam and give him that soul in to blow.

Our Lord opened the hand four times on the way, first the fifth times Adam received his soul.

Then God said, “Four times you have let fall out of your hand what I commanded you. had given. Go and see what has become of it!”

And now Our Lord saw that on the spot where he first hand had opened, bananas had sprung up; in the place, where it happened the second time, kladi (edible) grew colocasia); he saw corn in third place, and rice was last of all crops, which, through the wisdom and goodness of God, humans had gone before to feed him.
